She went from strength to strength in the industry despite the volatile work situations she often found herself in.

After her Southern Baptist family found a new church in their new town, the cards fell into place.
While participating in a church play, Doherty ultimately got her big break.
It wasn’t long before she started acting in commercials.

Against the odds, Rosa ultimately recovered, and the health crisis stuck with Shannen.

You just have to work hard at it.'”
“I don’t want her to have a bunch of stuff to deal with,” she said.
“I don’t want her to have four storage units filled with furniture.”
