Newsom isn’t shy about taking shots at Trump, either.
There was once a time he evenmade an uncomfortable joke about Trumpat the expense of his ex-wife Guilfoyle.
“There is no such document as the water restoration declaration that is pure fiction.
“Nope, not lately,” Newsom responded.
But this wasn’t always the case.
Even after their divorce, Newsom and Guilfoyle’s relationship with each other didn’t seem adversarial at first.
They even promised to remain friends after announcing their break-up to the world.
Meanwhile, Guilfoyle believed Newsom changed because of her absence.
“Sadly, now that he’s not under my tutelage and influence, he’s strayed.”
Newsom’s strong criticism of Trump and his policies seemed to cause a greater rift between the pair.
